About Me

I am a 15 year plus member of the NCWC.  I began my service in the Cavalry Corps rising to the rank of major and second in command under Col. Turner for a couple of years.  Both of my war horses have since passed and now I am honored to be counted a member of Co. H as a private soldier.

My persona is as a Mississippian who encountered the 4th Texans when they stopped in Jackson, Mississippi on their way to Virginia.  The last thing I remembered was sharing some 'spirits' with the lads and waking up the next morning on a train bound for Richmond and the newest member of the company!!

I currently reside in Astoria, OR and I am an eight year veteran of the Clatsop County Sheriff's Office.  I just re-married this last August to my childhood sweetheart, Carrie.  We are extremely happy and blessed to be re-united for eternity.  We both have grown children, She has two boys 21 and 25, and I have two boys 21 and 23.

About Me

I'm a disabled veteran, resident of rural East Texas.  Therefore I cannot join you bodily but may participate vicariously through you all and share what Texas Brigade lore I have acquired and perhaps, if deemed of interest, my experiences as a re-enactor of the 1980s including participation in the 125th anniversary events of Sharpsburg & Gettysburg.

About Me

I have always been interested in the Civil War even when living in England; I guess that was because i was aware of my American heritage and the influence of Gone With The Wind. It was in 1994  I was able to fulfil my dream to actually re-enact with 4th Texas Coy B, part of the ACWS in the UK . These guys were ... and still are great !!! While the uniforms were accurate, the fighting spirit great ( typically Texan) and we were the biggest unit iof  Confederates (also typically Texan) the accents were... not quite right! When I joined the 4th Texas here that last factor was well and truly 'corrected' ... except now I guess that I am the one with the misplaced accent!!

I have enjoyed my time with Coy H enormously... I joined in 2001...so I fully intend to make this my permanent home!!!

About Me

My name is Josh, I am a huge history buff.  I just can't get enought of it:) I have been studying the Civil war for the last 2 years.  I love the confederacy and what it stood for.  The bravery of the men who stood against overwelming odds and fought the yankees for 4 bloody years.
